Engagement Options
Our engagement process normally starts with a client facing interaction which results in a request for quote (RFQ), a request for proposal (RFP) or a Tender submission. The Ceenex LC engagement options have been designed with speed, simplicity, flexibility and fairness as delivery criteria in mind. We prefer fixed price contracts for short term (duration less than a year) contracts. We prefer to bill monthly based on actual hours worked at specified hourly rates, in accordance with the terms of reference and agreed contract. Our terms of payment is thirty days from date of invoice.
As a Resources Services Provider, Ceenex provides four types of offerings which may require different engagement options:
- Conventional consulting model: The sub-options are fixed price , fixed and variable rates and/or percentage fee based. We prefer the Association of Consulting Engineers Model Forms, which have been institutionalized in terms legislation.
- Project management and support services model: The sub options are percentage of total project fees based and/or actual time charged based on agreed labor and disbursements charge out rates
- Software engineering model: We provide for quoting a fixed price and delivery end date for design, specify develop, test, integrate and support computer software. Provision is made for variation and change orders. The concept and software code, as well as Intellectual Property, Intellectual Capital rights remain our property and are copyright protected. The client has full access to the code and may change it in anyway it desires. However, the client may not resell or give the software to any third party
- Application and transaction processing hosting model: For those clients that prefer not to own and/or operate hardware and software, we offer on- site or off-site hosting of web based systems. Our model allows for the charging of a monthly fixed fee per user or monthly billing based on number of monthly transactions, depending on the type of system
