New Grassland Reservoir Feasibility Study

Project Overview

  • This project aims to supply a reservoir with the capacity to store 45ML/day to meet the demand of Grassland and its surrounding areas. The reservoir must comply with all relevant engineering standards and regulations to ensure its safety, functionality and sustainability. This study focuses on precuring a secure water source which can supply its existing networks and the proposed Grassland Reservoirs. Optimising the delivery and supply bulk mains is crucial to save costs and to provide sufficient pressure and flow to supply the existing and new reticulation networks in Phase 1.

Value Proposition

  • Providing existing infrastructure detail which was not in the client’s as-built or masterplan.
  • Providing a more capable secondary water source which the masterplan did not consider.
  • Identifying a secondary location for the new reservoirs and an existing delivery pipeline to the location to save costs.
  • Providing multiple routes for the supply line including replacing an existing pipeline that is discontinued.
  • Developing trust between Ceenex and the client through constant and communication and transparency.

Key Stats

  • Compiling a depth analysis of future growth of the Grassland areas to determine water demand and storage requirements.
  • Providing a secure water source via Phase 1 (45ML) and Phase 2 (78ML).
  • Providing three protentional routes for the delivery and supply bulk water main.
  • Analysing the new network to ensure the proposed pipeline martial is sufficient.
  • Collaborative effort between Ceenex; the project design team; and the client.
