Infrastructure Engineering

Ceenex’s Infrastructure Discipline continues to play a critical role in delivering the infrastructure we need for sustainable development, covering all three of its important dimensions of the economy, environment and society.

Water- and wastewater-treatment plants and bulk-water supply

Ceenex is making a notable contribution to meeting the Millenium Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 by delivering worldclass water- and wastewater-treatment plants (WTP and WWTP), as well as top-notch bulk-water supply infrastructure.

Our Infrastructure Division is a single point of contact for the complete design of WWTPs and WTPs. This design capability spans architectural, as well as civil, structural and mechanical engineering through to electrical and instrumentation. Considering our extensive process-engineering capabilities, we are also able to advise plant owners on performance improvements and upgrade requirements. This is based on our state-of-the-art optimisation audits and treatment facility assessments.

Our skills and experience are also being harnessed by national and local government in the planning of bulk-water supply systems. These include bulk pumped systems, gravity networks and storage facilities. Ceenex’s expertise in the field spans high-level master planning and demand-modelling and funding approval through to the design and implementation of this critical infrastructure.

Telecommunications infrastructure

Our Infrastructure Discipline has played a prominent part in enabling more than 1 000km of overhead and underground telecommunications infrastructure, critical to achieving the SDGs. This includes education, employment, agricultural sustainability, food security and spatial inequality.

Ceenex provides specialist services across the entire telecommunications value chain. Our expertise includes the provision of quality project and construction management; network architecture design and planning; and wayleaves and geotechnical studies. This is in addition to our skills and experience in control and assurance; safety and traffic safety implementation; and other specialised services.

EPCM projects

Ceenex also serves as the main consulting entity or as part of larger joint ventures and/or consortiums in technically complex Engineer, Procure, Construct and Manage projects.

We have already provided these cutting-edge turnkey engineering solutions for the refurbishments of an embassy and for large local government infrastructure projects.
